Soilless Culture Applications for Early Development of Soybean Crop (Glycine max L. Merr)

Soilless cultivation systems in a controlled environment are increasingly being used due to several global issues such as climate change, pest and disease problems, declining soil fertility quality limited agricultural land. Soybean is one of the potential crops that can be grown using soilless planting system environment. Therefore, study was conducted investigate effect nutrient concentrations on early development two soybean varieties. Four different (0%, 50%, 100% 150%) were applied, varieties (Martina Johanna) tested. This designed split-plot experimental design where concentration main plot variety sub-plot. The data record started after fertilization. plant growth collected for five weeks. All analyzed statistically SPSS V.23 software. results found affected number leaves leaf area. higher treatment 150% nutrients. Meanwhile, area increased with increasing from 0% 150%. then interacted influencing height. height Martina than Johanna when nutrients applied. also weeks affecting SPAD readings leaves. Thus, tested (Johanna Martina) have distinct patterns differ another by age (number weeks).
